Students will be able to define diabetes and explain how diabetes develops. They will also discuss the common myths of diabetes in the Kenyan context. The purpose of this module is to equip the student with basic knowledge about diabetes and common myths.

By the end of this module the student will be able to describe diabetes and out-line the common myths.
