Lesson Summary:
Students will learn about the concept of diffusion and carry out demonstrations experiment on diffusion.

Lesson Objective:
To provide students with the awareness of the concept, definition and process of diffusion. Also, to provide students with explanation on concentration gradient and demonstrate by experiment diffusion using perfume and potassium permanganate.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Adenike Julianah Oladipo is a Facilitator, E-Tutor at University of Lagos Distance Learning Institute.
Oladipo, Adenike Julianah is on a mission to help both teachers and students teach and learn for understanding and application. Trained as an educationalist, she has unique teaching experience spanning thirty (30) years at all levels of education.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, Master’s degree in Curriculum studies, and PhD in Science and Technology Education; all from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. (The University of first choice and nation’s pride).
She has served as a member of the Sub Committee, 1st West Africa Universities Games (WAUG) in University of Lagos, participated at the National Working Party Meeting for the Review of WASSCE (Biology) syllabus by West African Examinations Council, Test Development, member of the committee for University of Lagos Distance Learning Institute(DLI) Examination Misconduct Panel and member of the Committee on Assessment of Internal Efficiency of DLI, also an examiner in Biology for the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board.
She has written and published scholastic articles in local and international journals. At present, she is investigating teachers' and students' conceptual understanding in diffusion and osmosis.
