ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR MARKETERS: CHICKEN FEEDS COST CALCULATOR ACTIVITY

The chicken feeds cost calculator is an interactive spreadsheet which helps the entrepreneur to easily and precisely find out not only the right quantities of the three types of feeds that would be required, but also calculates the total cost of the chicken feeds for any required number of chickens.

Lesson Summary:
Learners will review the topic on how to calculate the quantity of the three types of feeds required for any given number of broiler chickens from day-old to point-of-sale. After the review, then the learners will create a “Chicken feeds cost calculator” using a spreadsheet. (The calculator will make it easier to calculate not only the quantities of the three different types of feeds, but also the total cost of money that would be spent on any required number of chickens.)

Lesson Objective:
To provide learners with an opportunity to use technology in creating a process that engages them actively in accurately calculating the total cost of feeds for any required number of chickens.
