This activity plan is a Mathematics plan for union and intersection of sets. Pupils will be involve actively using both technology and worksheets to master the concept. Pupils will be able to identify the differences between union and intersection of sets, noting their symbols and learning how to identify and the the elements of union and intersection. They will also use Venn diagrams to illustrate these concepts and to analyze or interpret to find the specific elements of the specific set notation.
Lesson Summary:
Students will identify the elements of intersection and union of sets, listing them and using Venn diagrams to identify these elements while also placing them in the correct sections of the diagram.
Lesson Objective:
To provide students with opportunity to develop concepts of intersection and union in sets and to apply these concepts to Venn diagrams while interpreting the difference.
