PARAGRAPH WRITING: STATUE OF LIBERTY

Lesson Summary:
This activity allows the students to use the computer as a learning tool. The students are able to gather information from the internet so they can create a paragraph. This activity encourages the students to learn about cultural heritages around the world. They are able to explore many subject areas through these student- centered activities.

Lesson Objective:
To provide students with an opportunity to use the computer as a tool, gather information from the internet to create a paragraph, and to use their word processing skills.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Mohammad Nasir Uddin is a Head Teacher at Ichhapura Model High School.
Mohammad Nasir Uddin was born in 1974 in the district of Feni, Bangladesh. He completed his bachelor degree in 1996 from National University, Bangladesh and Passed Certificate Course in English in 1998 from the same university. After Completion of Diploma in Computer Science and Technology he joined at Sonapur High School, Feni as the Computer Teacher In 1999. In 2005 he shifted to East Bengal Institution, Dhaka after the completion of B. Ed degree from National University. Then he achieved Master of Education degree from the University of Dhaka in 2009. In January 2010 he was awarded International Leaders in Education Program by US Department of State and placed in the University of Alabama in Huntsville, USA. In 2012 he joined Ichhapura Model High School, Munshiganj as the Head Teacher. He has participated number of Training, workshops, Conferences, Seminars relates to pedagogy, instructional Strategies, ICT in Education and Education Policy. He also organize and facilitate number of Teachers Training workshop that includes "Integrating ICTs in Education", "Empowering Teachers to Promote Education for Global Citizenship", "ICT Based Lesson Plan and Material Developmentā€, " Reducing Dropout Rate of Girls Students Through Combating Against Early Marriage" and "Moving Teaching Excellence from Good to Great". His main goal in teaching is to engage students in Learning with entertainment through Technology.
